Hello Harris,
The serial number in SERIAL.TXT is a number (unsigned integer).
If you want to use hyphens or other special characters, you'd need to use the "custom serial number" feature and provide a SNLIST.TXT file.
Please refer to the chapter in the manual: https://wiki.segger.com/UM08022_Flashe…umber_list_file

Hello Chris,
We can only do what is theoretically possible. If you are interested in an individual solution for your MCU, which would at least provide some basic protection for the binary, please contact us directly.

Hello Chris,
Some ST devices support a secure firmware download interface.
For devices without a secure firmware download interface, we use a different approach. We create a signature over a unique and unchangeable ID, so the firmware can verify
that it is running on the device with exactly this ID. This will cause a signature failure on a cloned device, so the firmware can halt or react in another way. The system basically
works as a clone protection.
Hello Laura,

Hello Marco,
these files do not have any metadata, it is just a dump of the incoming data stream.
A small hint could be the file size: It must be a whole multiple of the sample block size.
The sample block size would be for example 6 Bytes, if you have one 4 Byte variable and one 2 Byte variable.
Without having a detailed look into the source, I'd suspect you specified something, which is not a whole multiple and that caused the crash. Is that correct?

Arne
Hello Philipp,
the message indicates that it could not load JLinkARM.dll
Probably some policies do not allow this on your PC, if J-Scope is not run as admin.
You could try to copy the JLinkARM.dll to J-Scope's directory, maybe this works without admin rights,
Best regards
Arne
Hello Alex,
the J-Flash application should allow you to enter the ID Code.
By reading back the target memory, you can check which address was not programmed correctly.

Hello Alex,
do you have a recent firmware on your Flasher ARM?
For example:
SEGGER J-Link Commander V6.86d (Compiled Oct 9 2020 16:16:34)
DLL version V6.86d, compiled Oct 9 2020 16:15:12
Connecting to J-Link via USB...O.K.
Firmware: J-Link ARM / Flasher ARM V4 compiled Sep 11 2020 10:05:34

Hello,
which MCU are you going to program ("Renesas MCU" is very unspecific)?
Which version (label on the bottom) of the Flasher ARM do you have?
