Hi,
I am using freescale IMX6UL-EVK board before few weeks.I have some new task to do with jtag now but unable to proceed due to jtag connection failure.
I have made proper connection of JTAG with my board but j-link is not detected my board.I downloaded windows jtag driver software from SEGGER - The Embedded Experts - Download link but whenever i run JLinkGDBServer.exe in the installed driver folder it was unable to connect my board.I attached u the screen shot of this in which jlink is detected but my board CPU is not there so tell me what is the proper procedure of connection.
my next question is
I am using SEGGER j-link EDU is it correct version of JTAG. suggest if any other is supporting.
if jtag version is proper than what is jumper setting on MCIMX6UL-EVK board i have to do.

Hi Atma,
could you please give J-Link Commander a try?:
- Start J-Link Commander (jlink.exe)
- Type "connect" in order to start a debug session
- Type in the target device name if asked (Or type "?" for a target selection Dialog)
- Choose the correct target interface (JTAG/SWD/etc..)
- Speed should be <= 2000 for this session
- [JTAG only]]JTAG conf can be auto
- You should now be successfully connected.
If anything fails, could you post a screenshot of the complete session?
Best regards,
Niklas -

Hi Atma,
this device series is currently not supported by the J-Link software.
Support will be added in the near future, as we are internally already working with a development version of the J-Link software that supports this device.Best regards,

Hi Atma,
There was misunderstanding on my side.
The current J-Link software does indeed support the IMX6UL, you just need to pass to correct MCIMX6Ux name to it (MCIMX6U1 / MCIMX6U4 / ...)Best regards,
Niklas -
Quick update in this case:
Support for NXP iMX6UL has been added in V6.12 of the J-Link software.Best regards
Niklas
