  • [SOLVED] Support for Dialog DA14531

    Having previously achieved good using SEGGER Embedded Studio with Nordic devices, on macOS, I was wondering if anyone had any experience using SES with the DA14531 ?

    My preferred development platform is macOS for which there isn't a Keil version yet and VM support for Apple Silicon based mac's currently seems rather flakey.

    So has anyone developed for the DA14531 using SES?

    Thank you for your inquiry.
    Generally you can debug and develop software in Embedded Studio for all target devices that are supported by J-Link and are either Arm or RISC-V architecture:

    A guide on how to set up a basic project and add third party software to it e.g. FreeRTOS is explained here:

    For added convenience for some devices we provide CPU Support packages which are also referenced in the guide above:

    For the DA14531 series we currently do not have a package, but we can slot it in so it would be released in the next couple of weeks.
    But as you can see from the guide, the packages are only optional and you can also get started without them.
