  • [SOLVED] Unable to unlock debug port EFR32FG23

I cannot unlock the debug port from the EFR32FG23A from Silicon Labs.

I have noticed there is an "unlock" command with compatibility for EFM32Gxxx devices.

I was wondering if there will be a unlock feature for the EFR32FG23A soon.

I am also wondering if this unlock feature will be available in JFlash, so we can update devices with old software in production.
  • Hi,
    Thank you for your inquiry.

The Unlock command is a legacy command.
By now, the unlock will be executed by default on connect,
however it is not implemented for all devices (same for J-Flash).

For the EFR32FG23A, no special connect has been implemented, so you would have to do so yourself.

The way to go here would be to use a J-Link Script File with an InitTarget() function.
Within this function, you would have to unlock the the device.

I added the native unlock to our feature request list, however I cannot provide any timeline for this,
as we are currently pretty much booked.

    Best regards,
    Fabian
