[SOLVED] Reading external flash memory

Hi,

Nothing has turned up on a web search, so I suspect there is no simply way to do what I want or it is not possible.

I have an Silicon labs EFM32 with flash on an the SPI bus. I would like to read the flash contents (don't need to write to it) via the debug header on the processor. I do not want to change the code on the micro, so I am looking for something using external tools. I am happy to code things if required.

Is the external SPI flash memory mapped?
So can it be read like RAM etc. by the EFM32?

Then you need to create one of these:

and implement the SEGGER_OPEN_Read() routine in it:

You need to assign a "virtual" address for your SPI flash, as all J-Link tools (like a CPU) work address-based.

We do not have one for non-memory-mapped flash.
