  • SAM-ICE LED errors

I was probing around on an AT91SAM7X board connected to a SAM-ICE, when I accidentally shorted VCC (3.3V) to GND. It ended up damaging my board's 3.3V regulator and my SAM-ICE.

Now, when connected to USB my SAM-ICE's green light has a bit of flicker in it. When I connect the SAM-ICE to the target board the Green light goes to amber. I was unable to use it to debug as I would get an error that J-Link was unable to halt the cpu. I then connected a working SAM-ICE and was able to reset the chip and continue debugging with it. Now when I plug in the damaged SAM-ICE it seems to work fine except the LED is still amber.

Should I toss the amber LED SAM-ICE as it's operation is no longer trust worthy? Is it fine? Can it be fixed?

    Thanks,
    Josh
