  • J-Link Base/Ultra do not work with SES on Infineon Cortex-M3 TLE9879

    Good day!
    I'm evaluating SES V3.24 with J-Link Base/Ultra now but can't flash/debug/reset target. MCU is Cortex-M3 based TLE9879.
SES makes message box with "Error reported" - "Error reading from memory" in very basic simple project created with SES. But target connection may be established via menu Target->Connect J-Link.
At the same time J-Link Commander, gdb server and other work fine.
Tested with Infineon TLE9879 evalkit with embedded J-Link and with TLE9879 based PCB with standalone J-Links as well.
And same SES works with SiliconLabs EFM32LG990 Cortex-M3 evaluation board.
I'm attaching J-Link message log file and screenshot.
Do you have a solution for such issue ?

  • Hello Yuiry,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
The problem is that Embedded Studio tries to read from address 0x00000000 which is not available ROM for this chip.
We would need additional information from you to investigate this further.
Could you send us the following files?
    - Your .emProject file
    - Your .emSession file
    - Go to Help -> Generate Support Report and send that file as well

    Best regards,
    Nino
