  • [SOLVED] Trapping on write access to data

I'm using a J-Trace for ARM Cortex M with an IAR IDE. What I would like to do is trap on a write access to a specific address in data memory. Is that possible with what I have, or do I need something more? If I can, how do I set it up?

  • Hi Bill,

sorry for the delay in response.
In order to set a watchpoint on an address, you can use the tools provided by IAR EWARM or use J-Link Commander.
The command "setWP" is described in Section 3.2.1.37 of UM8001, which is part of the Software and documentation pack

    Best regards,
    Niklas
