  • How to write a value to a register in jlink script file.

    Hi,

I want to know that how can I set or write a particular (memory mapped) register in my jlink script file. UM8001 specifies different functions like initTarget() etc but does not explain how can I write to some memory mapped register using jlink target script files.....
Actually I am trying to connect to a target that requires some special init sequence and thus wants me to set a large number of registers.

Please do respond as it is really urgent.
    Thanks in advance......
  • Hi,

With the J-Link Script Files it is not possible to write to the target.
The script file only meant to perform the basic initialization to be able to connect to the device.
All following initialization should be done in the programming environment (IDE, Debugger, J-Flash, ...)

Maybe we can provide some more information.
To what target are you trying to connect to?
Which programming environment are you using?

    Regards
    Johannes
