SAM-PROG 2.4 no longer programs AT91SAM7X512 with JLINK v6.0 Firmware 2011 Feb 1 14:28.

  • SAM-PROG 2.4 no longer programs AT91SAM7X512 with JLINK v6.0 Firmware 2011 Feb 1 14:28.

I have recently updated to sam-ba v2.11 to program an ARM 9. This update prompted me to update my JLINK firmware, which I did and it works fine for the ARM 9. However, this no longer works with the SAM-PROG 2.4 I use for my AT91SAM7X512. The issue is that it will not Write to flash when I click the WRITE FLASH button.

    Steps to recreate:

    Start Sam-prog 2.4
    select file
Click yes under Target Connect. The LED on the J-link flashes for awhile. The Active Connection in Sam-prog changes from 0 to 1.
When I click the WRITE FLASH button, nothing happens.

Sam-prog 2.4 and another JLINK that I have, with older firmware, will still program my AT91SAM7X512. So I know there is nothing different we my setup other then the firmware update.

Any ideas? other then firmware rollback.

    thanks

  • Thanks Alex that fixed my Sam-prog 2.4 issue.

Unfortunately, I can no longer program my AT91SAM9260 using Sam-ba 2.11. When I launch Sam-ba 2.11 I get the following error message:

"Write memory error @ address 0xFFFFFD00, word access: Memory access timeout."

If uninstall "Setup_JLinkArm_V447c.zip" and install "Setup_JLinkArmV446a.zip" and then roll back the firmware on my J-Link, Sam-ba 2.11 starts working again.

Do I need to do something special after installing 447c?

    thanks,

    David
