Hello, I'm having a J-Trace on my desk and want so see it's potential. I have no idea how to configure SES to make it record a Instruction Trace or output coverage information. Could you point me to a comprehensive tutorial how i could use my J-Trace unit to actually record a trace session? Best regards Peter
Hi, I have got FreeRTOS (v8.2.3), lwip (1.4.1), iperf and SystemViewer (v2.30) running on my STM32 target. as soon as I start a iperf session, SystemViewer stops recording. The target can handle further iperf sessions without problems. I have attached a record.
Quote from rum: “Instead if (memcmp(pcTaskName, "IDLE", 5) == 0) { return; } maybe this is faster if(*(uint32_t*)pcTaskName == 0x454C4449) return; //'ELDI=IDLE' rum” you are probably not getting a Zero terminated string with this.
Hi, I want to see the terminal messages showing up during the boot process of my board. I wish to push the reset button and see the messages show up in the SystemView terminal. is this possible?
to show more interrupts, you have to instrument them with some code so that SystemViewer gets the needed information: Source Code (6 lines) plus you have to add in your platform specific _cbSendSystemDesc function the corresponding ISR description Source Code (5 lines) the time scale is also wrong for me. and one thing i'm facing are overflows. even if i don't instrument any interrupts but just do a iperf test with my tcpt/ip stack, the frequent thread swiches lead to a crash of the SystemViewer…
Thank you, Johannes for answering my question and looking into it I very much appreciate it! I commented out the assertion to fix my hang ;) do you plan to also plan to provide a FreeRTOS patch for Cortex-M3 parts? Currently, I can only find one for M4F.
Hi, is it somehow possible to show printf-style messages in the JLinkRTTClient AND the SystemViewer GUI? I like the annotation style of SystemViewer but for simpler tasks it would be nice to have the messages shown in a terminal window, too. thanks Peter
i have upgraded to FreeRTOS v8.2.3 now and have applied the patch you shipped with SystemView 2.28. Still getting this assertion... here is a recent stack trace
Hi, I'm trying to work with RTT and SystemViewer but can't get the messages to show up at the SystemViewer window. I can see them with JLinkRTTClient. what do I need to call on the Target? these do not work for me: SEGGER_RTT_printf(0,"Test_printf"); SEGGER_RTT_TerminalOut(1,"Test_1); or something else? edit: This prevents SystemViewer 2.28 from working at all: SEGGER_RTT_printf(1,"Test1");
thanks, did not notice there was a update. do you have a public git server? what about email notification? could you comment a bit on the FreeRTOS patch you supply? is it mandatory ?
Hi, i'm using SystemView 2.26 and FreeRTOS 8.2.1 on an STM32F429. As soon as I start the SystemViewer application on the host and connect to the target, my system gets stuck in a runtime assertion. If i disable this assertion, I can use SystemViewer. What is the problem here? I have attached a screenshot showing the stack trace during the assertion.
