I downloaded the embOS trial version source code(embOS_ARM_IAR_V6_Trial_V414.zip) from https://www.segger.com/downloads/embos link i successfully build the LED blink application code on the IAR(Version 7.60) for freescale's imx6ul processor.

Now my task is to run LED blink application on MCIMX6UL-EVK board.for this i am loading .bin(output binary file) to SD card through loads command (through teraterm) but its hanged somewhere(plz see screen shot) so for check i used putchar() instruction for print but situation continues.So my question is how can print get works? do i have to write some driver for print or i am missing something.


I am attaching u the some screen shots(booting sequence,IAR workbench) so please find the attachment and guide in a proper way.

Hi,

We are working on the freescale's(now NXP) imx6ul evk board and trying to establish the jtag connection from pc to board. In some board related document, it is mentioned that in order to correctly connect to the JTAG port of the board with the RealView-ICE Debugger or the JLINK debugger, five resistances R1432, R1407, R1431, R1433, and R1434 need to be removed. Could someone please let me know how to achieve the removal of resistors to get the connection work. Do we remove the resistors through some software tool by setting 0's or remove the connection of hardware ?

If u have any other way than plz give your idea how can i make connection between JTAG and IMX6UL-EVK board.

I am new on the embOS.I want to do C programming on SEGGER RTOS but don't know how to proceed.I am using freescale's Processor Expert tool for build my application, MCIMX6ULK-EVK board and SEGGER's J-link EDU version JTAG to load files so tell me what the version of SEGGER's embos are supporting to freescale's imx6ul processor and processor expert tool.If not than what tool i preferred we will purchase if SEGGER embos support is there.

Hi,
I am using freescale IMX6UL-EVK board before few weeks.I have some new task to do with jtag now but unable to proceed due to jtag connection failure.

I have made proper connection of JTAG with my board but j-link is not detected my board.I downloaded windows jtag driver software from SEGGER - The Embedded Experts - Download link but whenever i run JLinkGDBServer.exe in the installed driver folder it was unable to connect my board.I attached u the screen shot of this in which jlink is detected but my board CPU is not there so tell me what is the proper procedure of connection.

my next question is
I am using SEGGER j-link EDU is it correct version of JTAG. suggest if any other is supporting.
if jtag version is proper than what is jumper setting on MCIMX6UL-EVK board i have to do.
