[SOLVED/OR] J-Flah SPI with Flasher-Arm in Stand Alone Mode

  • Hi Segger Team,

yesterday I was on site at one of my customers to install/setup their new Flasher-Arm for production programming of a Spansion S25FL128S SPI-Flash using J-Flash-SPI.

Programmnig works fine, but I could not figure out how to get the stand alone mode to work with J-Flash SPI.

It seems, that currently the stand alone mode can only be configured via J-Flash, which does not support SPI devices.
Trying to "cheat" by loading the project file created by J-Flash SPI with J-Flash resulted in an error message about an invalid flash device when trying to download the config and data to the Flasher-ARM.

    Maybe I did something wrong.
Or is this feature not yet available ?

    Best regards,
    Martin

  • Hi Martin,

standalone Mode support for direct SPI programming (what J-Flash SPI does) is on our internal ToDo, but whithout a fixed release date yet.
We plan to release is it towards the end of Q3/2016.

    Best regards,
    Niklas

  • Hi all,

Sorry to say but stand-alone mode support for J-Flash SPI is still not available. Too many other open paid projects / projects with higher priority. Stand-alone mode support for J-Flash SPI has been reschedule to Q1 2017.

We will update this thread, once the feature is available.

    Best regards
    Niklas
