Replied to the thread [SOLVED] erasing and loadbin.

    Post
Erase, without any further parameters, will erase all flalsh banks known to J-Link for the selected MCU. This means, for a MCU with 2 MB flash, it will erase 2 MB. Loadbin erases the affected ranges. Meaning if your bin file is 512 KB in size, only 512…

Replied to the thread JLINK plus not working with XMCFlasher.

    Post
First you write that with XMCFlasher and J-Link PLUS you cannot even connect. Then you write that J-Link Commander connects but cannot reset, halt, … the target while XMCFlasher can. One of these statements is incorrect… Which one? Nnote that…

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] Jlink log file structure.

    Post
Hi, Log files do not have any documented structure / format. The format may change from one version to another, without further notice or even a release note entry. The way to go is checking the return value of the application, not parsing the log…

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] SWD isolator power.

    Post
Hi, You did get it wrong. You cannot power a target via SWD isolator. Actually, the SWD isolator needs to be powered by the target. It has 2 sides: Emulator / J-Link Target The Emulator side is powered by J-Link via pin 19. The target side is powered…

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] JLink OB STM32F103 firmware upgrade needed.

    Post
Hi, This is not a genuine J-Link, but an illegal clone. These are excluded from any support and must not be used with the J-Link software (see license terms) This thread will be closed and probably also deleted.

2 things: 1) You need a EDU V10 or later: wiki.segger.com/Software_and_H…tures_Overview#J-Link_EDU 2) There is some wiring problem on your side, as even the very low-level jTAG scan seems to fail.

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] No JLinkGDBServerCL console in Eclipse.

    Post
Hi, Yes, JLinkGDBServerCL.exe is a SEGGER application. It is a command line application. If you see a window or not or if stdout is forwarded to some Eclipse window is all Eclipse / plugin specific and out of our control. This is the plugin you are…

Wrong forum. Neither Eclipse nor the GDBServer plugin in Eclipse are SEGGER products. This is more a question for an Eclipse forum. BR Alex

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] J-Link "Read 1 bytes @ address 0x00000000" on LPC2387.

    Post
Hi, You are not using “GDBServer” from MinGW but “GDB. These are different applications. J-Link GDBServer works. If you are looking for a GCC toolchain (GCC, GDB, …) how about the official one from ARM?

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] Which adapter to use with Jlink Plus and XMC1400.

    Post
The Tx and Rx pins yyou are referring to here are for virtual COM port. This is a USB 2 serial (UART) bridge to communicate with your target application. They have NOTHING to do with the ASC BSL of the XMC. So yes, you are mistaken. Again, the TMS /…

Replied to the thread [SOLVED] Which adapter to use with Jlink Plus and XMC1400.

    Post
Hi, To the best of my knowledge, SWD and ASC share the same pins. ASC is a half-duplex UART, meaning that 1 pin is Tx and Rx. In SWD mode the pin acts as SWDIO and in ASC mode it is TxRx. On the adapters you may find it as TMS (if used on a device that…

Where is the problem in buying? The schematics are not publicly available. You may be able to get some schematics / recommendations etc. on the TI website, as it is a TI MCU and TI spec.
