[SOLVED] Support for Nordic nRF54Lxx

Hi,

Is there a plan to add support for the new nRF54 family of MCU from Nordic in SES corresponding package?

I only found segger.com/supported-devices/nordic-semi/nrf54 and wiki.segger.com/Nordic_Semiconductor_nRF54Lxx on the segger website but the support and example application are very minimal. The family is also not available in the SES Nordic package (no register/symbols definition), I have 8.48 (the latest it seems).

Any date for a release?

Hi,

Thank you for your inquiry.

The Embedded Studio CPU support packages are based on the CMSIS packages provided by the device vendor. The nRF CMSIS package does not include the nRF54L series yet.
We will have an eye on it and update the CPU package after the CMSIS package has been updated.

Hi,

On nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-MDK/Download, the latest versions (8.62.0 and 8.63.1) contain support and svd files for nRF54L15 and also nRF54H series.

Hi Alex,

As written, our CPU packages are based on the CMSIS DFPs and is using almost all of the information available therein.
The Nordic SDK may include some of the required source files, but is still missing a lot of the required device information. Because of that it does unfortunately not suffice for this use-case.
