I have successfully been using a j-link edu mini to flash an Arduino bootloader and/or an Arduino sketches to an Atmel SAMD21G18A MCU on a custom PCB using Microchip Studio. I have numerous (5) identical PCB's and have successfully done this hundreds of times on all boards. Just recently, when I select Device Programming, I get an error message (see screenshot). When I try to Read the Device Signature, I get the second error message.
The J-link tool information is:
J-Link
Debug host 127.0.0.1
Debug port 56529
Serial number 801027156
Connection com.atmel.avrdbg.connection.segger
Firmware Version J-Link EDU Mini V1 compiled Jul 28 2021 10:10:36.
Hardware Revision 1.0
DLL Version 7.86c
The j-link is discoverable by my PC and appears to be functioning. After hundreds of flashes, this error just came up. (Also, I don't get the Dialog Box agreeing that the Edu can only be used for non-commercial purposes.) I tried repairing Studio and I have ensured that I have the latest drivers.
Any suggestions?
