  • [ABANDONED] RTT Viewer - No Output after update

I have used RTT for a long time and I decided to update to V7.82. RTT Viewer connects ok, but there is no output on the viewer from any new or existing SEGGER_RTT_printf's.
I have looked through the RTT related FAQ's and can't see why I would have this problem.
  • Hi,

Such an issue is not known to us.

I just checked and the J-Link RTT Viewer V7.82 works as expected for me.
This, in addition to the fact that this is the only report of its kind (at the moment) indicates that the culprit of the behavior you are describing is inside your specific setup, rather than the J-Link software.

Did you make sure that your desired target application was downloaded to your target?

Did you change anything else, besides the RTT Viewer version
(e.g. connectors, cables, PCs, target device, target application, ...)?

Could you please provide some additional information on your setup?
    • Full name of target device and manufacturer
    • J-Link serial number
    • J-Link RTT Viewer configuration
(attach a screenshot of your J-Link RTT Viewer configuration dialog)
    • J-Link RTT channel configuration
      • In J-Link RTT Viewer, connect to your target and press F8
(attach a screenshot of the dialog that is opened)

  • Hi

Do you have any other ideas about this. I have attached the details you asked for.
The channel description dialog reports that the channel is not available. In RTT config the connect to 'existing session' radio button is not checked.
  • Hi,
We are still not able to reproduce this issue.

Could you please provide step-by-step instructions of what you do to produce this issue?
Could you please also also send us a J-Link log file? How to enable:
