  • [SOLVED] JLINK_EDU - SWO STM32H735

    Good afternoon,

I'm trying to use the SWO - Printf functionality with a JLINK EDU and the STM32H735VGT MCU, but I don't know what's missing to make it work.

I think it is something related to the configuration, because I have used the same board and MCU with a STLINK2, and the SWO + printf works correctly.

Attached is a screenshot of the STLINK2 and JLINK configuration in the IDE.

    IDE: Keil MDK 5.36
    JLINK EDU FW: J-Link V10 compiled Nov 2 2021 12:14:50
    DLL: V7.62

    Thanks for your time.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
Enabling SWO on the H7 series is unfortunately chip specific, so currently for the H73x series the SWO init in J-Link software is missing.
We will see if it can be added via software update.

Which eval board are you using currently?

    Best regards,
    Nino

  • Good afternoon,

I am not using a EVK, its a my own design.
where i can check how models of H7 you can support this functionability?

if you can not add this function by software update, i understand that you can do by a hardware update not?
I question it because i planned to buy a professional segger tool

Thanks for you time and help
