  • [SOLVED] STM32 Unlock support for STM32U575xx

    Hello,

Is adding support to unlock the STM32U5xxxx on the roadmap? And if so, when is it about to be released?
Currently during development I'm missing this feature. But more important in production the J-Flasher should be able to unlock the STM32U5xxxxx as well so it can be re-programmed in the production test system.

    Kind regards,
    Nick van IJzendoorn
  • Hi Nick,
    Thank you for your inquiry.

I can see that you registered specifying you are using a J-Link EDU.

From you description it seems like you are using it in a commercial context.
Please note that using the J-Link EDU in a commercial context is illegal:

Could you please elaborate in which context you are using the J-Link EDU?
Which J-Link are you using in combination with J-Flash?

  • Hi Nick,
    Thank you for the clarification.
Please be aware that the J-Link EDU is not supposed to be used in any commercial context.
This also includes the development, so it might be worth to consider this.

    Regarding your question:
Native unlock for STM32U5 and STM32U5 support vial the J-Link STM32 Utility is already on the roadmap.
We cannot provide a fixed timeline for it yet but I would guess that it will be added within the next few weeks.

Until then you could unlock device via the method described here.
There are no samples for the U5 yet, but the ones for the other STM32 devices should provide enough information to adept them for your needs.
