  • [SOLVED] Is there a lower limit on the reference voltage for the J-Link?

    Hi

I have built a board using the NRF52840 chip.
When trying to connect to it, I get the message "Target Voltage Too Low".
The NRF chip has a default reference voltage of 1.8V before it's set otherwise in the software.
I have measured the voltage from the chip all the way to the input pin of the Jlink.
So it should be able to read it.
Is there a lower limit for the reference voltage? Is 1.8V too low?
Or is there anything else I need to check?

    All help appreciated.
  • Hi,

The lower limit for a full J-Link (BASE, PLUS, …, not! EDU Mini) is 1.2V.

Can you please give this a try and post the *complete* output?

  • Hi

    Thanks for the response.

i managed to locate the problem.
The mating connector on my board had been mirrored, and I got around it by making a custom cable.
    Everything is working fine now.

    Best Regards
