  • [SOLVED] Jlink cannot connect with STM32WL55JC

    Hi everyone,

I try to flash my custom PCB board bearing the STM32WLE5JC, ARM Cortex M4 MCU. I use the J-LINK Plus. While trying to flash my PCB through STM32CubeIDE I receive the following errors:

When I press OK, the following "Target device settings" pops up:

but before insert device and core info the following error pops up:

I tryied to connect the debugger with the target through the JLINK commander but I fail. The debug window sais "Failed to power the DAP"

I confirm that the probe is updated with the latest FW version

Any suggestions? Does J-Link supports STM32WLE5JC MCU?

    Thanks
    Nick
  • Hi Nick,
Thank you for your inquiry and sorry for the delay in response.
There is no such issue known to us.

From what you say, this seems like a setup/PCB issue.
We would suggest to revisit your schematics and check if all signals are connected correctly.
We would also recommend to check the signal integrity with an oscilloscope.

    Best regards,
    Fabian
