  • [SOLVED] CMSIS-DAP support seems to be disabled

    Hello,

I've noticed that CMSIS-DAP support seems to be disabled in the last two releases of the J-Link software package. CMSIS-DAP probes show up in the J-Link Configurator, but applications which use the DLL (Commander, J-Flash Lite, GDB Server, Ozone) can't detect them. This happens with all CMSIS-DAP probes I've tried, including my J-Link Edu in CMSIS-DAP mode.

It's not really a problem for me, as I already have a proper J-Link, but I was just being curious.

    Best regards,
    Vlad
  • Hi Vlad,

There are 2 types of CMSIS-DAP support:

    1) Making J-Link to behave like a CMSIS-DAP

    2) Support 3rd party CMSIS-DAP in the J-Link software package

    to 1) Supported

to 2) Not supported. There have been 1-2 versions in which it was enabled by accident but this support is pre-alpha at this point and not public yet. There is no schedule for release yet.
