  • [SOLVED] External Debugging of STM32G431 Nucleo Board

    Hello,
    I have a problemdebugging a STM32G431 Nucleo Board ( st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nuc…&rt=db&id=DB2196#overview) with an Jlink EDU.
I directly wired from the Jlink Edu to the STM32 Morpho Header.

    Connection Matrix:
    5V Supply: Jlink 19- CN7 6 (E5V)
    GND: Jlink 4 - CN7 8(GND)
    Reset: Jlink 14 -CN7 14 (NRST)
    SWDIO: Jlink 7 - CN713 (PA13)
    SWCLK: Jlink 9 - CN715 (PA14)

Jumpers set on theBoard for E5V (Powered by Jlink).
Solderbridges 40 and41 (Mapping for SWDIO and SWCLK) are set.
Reset works (donemanually in Jlink.exe) and Power too. Error message: Cannot connect to target.

    Jlink.exe FW:
    Firmware: FirmwareV11 compiled Jan 7 2020
    Hardware: V11.00

    What am I doing wrong?

PS: 2 Attachements containing a Overview of the Board and the JLink Command I entered.

  • Hi,
    Thank you for your inquiry.

Could you please follow the troubleshooting article on the page linked below
and send us a screenshot of the entire J-Link Commander output?

Without having all the required information, I would guess that you did not connect the VTref pin to the board.
