  • [SOLVED] What J-link unit is the Flasher Portable PLUS equivalent to?

    I can use the Flasher as a J-Link, but I can’t find any information on what the Flasher Portable PLUS is equivalent to in terms of J-link license/features...

    Is there any docs on this?

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    The short answer is: None.

    Concept-wise, Flasher Portable Plus and J-Link are two very different things.
    The Flasher is optimized for production and the J-Link is optimized for debugging and therefore it is hard to compare these two.
    For example, the Flasher Portable Plus has a stand alone flash programming feature, which no J-Link/J-Trace Probe has.

    Even though some debug features are currently available in combination with the Flasher Portable Plus, this is might change in the future.
    We do not guarantee that any Flasher model is working with our debug Tools.
    In addition, there are no claims for support regarding our debug tools, when using it in combination with any Flasher model.

    In general, we recommend to use the Flasher for production purposes, and the J-Link for debug purposes.
