  • [SOLVED] CPU Support

    HI,

I would like to develop an application on the FRWY-LS1012A development board from NXP. The LS1012A CPU is based on an ARM Cortex-A53. What I would like to know is if SEGGER Embedded Studio would provide complete support of this CPU/Platform in the near future ( or is it part of the plan to support) ?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Normand
  • Hello Normand,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
Current efforts to add support for the LS10xx series has been halted due to low demand and high complexity of the devices. Complexity here means that the LS10xx series differs from some usual ARM standard debug and programming implementations which would need a rework of parts of our generic modules that work fine for more than 9000 other target devices.

However you can always add support for new devices yourself:

Alternatively we could add support but due to the complexity and low reusability of the implementation NREs would apply. Would that generally be of interest for you?

    Best regards,
    Nino
