    What's the best way (if any) to get tm_gmtoff and tm_zone from the host, as provided by _GNU_SOURCE ?

    If it's not (currently) possible to get tm_gmtoff and tm_zone from the host, could you please consider adding the functionality to debugio.h ?

    You can get the unixtime with debug_time().
    But dates or timezones currently are not supported and there are currently no plans to expand the functionality of debugio.h here.
