  • [SOLVED] Testing J-LINK

    Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to test the J-Link independently?
I was tasked to flash a Cyprus Wifi module on a CCU assembly board, but the process fails.
I don't what could be causing the failure.
There is a chain of failure points that I am trying to troubleshoot.
It could be either be the; PC, J-LINK, Debug Adapter board, Circuit Card, or Chip itself.
So, I am trying to troubleshoot and eliminate where the problem "is not".
That being said, I am wondering what the best way to test the J-Link is?

    Thank you,
  • Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
To troubleshoot your setup we recommend the troubleshooting steps on our Wiki:
    wiki.segger.com/J-Link_cannot_connect_to_the_CPU

Easiest way of troubleshooting is with J-Link Commander that is included in the J-Link software pack.
What target device are you using exactly?
Is it a custom board or an eval board? If the latter which one?
Do you get any error message when trying to Flash or connect to the target device?

    Best regards,
    Nino
