  • [SOLVED] TMS570 partial write

    Hi,

I need to write several bytes in flash after Erase operation.
If I write using JFlash or WriteMem command, instead it writes about 1024 bytes.
    This spoils ECC region.
Is there any way to write, for instance, just 8 bytes and other part remain erased?

    CPU TMS570LS1114 and similar.
    Thanks
  • Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
Such an issue is not known to us.
Which memory area are you looking to write exactly?
I conducted the following test with the latest J-Flash version and a TMS570LS target device:
    - erase Flash at 0x0
    - blank check
    - generate test data (4 words in my example)
    - write and verify
    - only 4 words written rest is 0xFF, see picture attached

Does it work for you when you use the same steps?

    Best regards,
    Nino
