  • STM32H7 ETF Trace with J-Link

    Hi!

    I just saw that the STM32H743 has a new 8 kByte Embedded Trace FIFO Buffer (ETF), which can be configured and used similar to an Embedded Trace Buffer (ETB).
    (Page 3068ff. in the RM0433 Rev 5 reference manual).

    Is there already support for this mode in the J-Link / Ozone?
    Is it planned?

    Not yet for the STM32H7 series as ST choose a very non standard implementation here which means a bit of rework in our software to support such a constellation.

    It is on our customer wish list with no fixed time schedule or priority due to low demand and the more advanced possibilities of ETM trace which already works.
    We will see if we can find a time slot next year in Q1 but no promises as we are currently completely booked with paid projects.
