Project file format - what does "target" mean?

      Thank you for your inquiry.
      Target is Target Device in project settings. This is the actual target device you are looking to debug.
      A list of supported devices can be found here: segger.com/downloads/supported-devices.php

      You can get a list of all supported devices within Embedded Studio if you double click the project setting the attached window will appear.
      There you can select your device.
      The same window appears if you use the new project wizard. There you first select a project template. If your device is not part of the CPU support packages simply select "A C/C++ executable for Cortex-M" if your core is Cortex-M.
      Then click next, now you will see the same device selection.
