  • [SOLVED] Debugging stops with: Error reading from memory

    Hi,

I am using an NRF52 board with SEGGER studio V3.5 and JLINK (latest firmware) on MAC OSX. I am seeing an intermittent issue where the debug session terminates with a dialog box displaying "Error reading from memory". It is not consistent but happens with some regularity.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
Such an issue is not known to us.
Are you using custom hardware or an eval board?
Does your application use any low power modes or WFIs ?
Could you provide a J-Link log file of the failed session?

    Best regards,
    Nino

  • Thanks for the replies.

This turned out to be an issue with the power regulator that caused the board to rest. Which explains this message. However, if possible, a less generic (or maybe more clear) message would be more helpful.
