  • Problems with J-Link and IAR V4.30A

    Hi,

there's a problem with J-Link and the IAR Workbench when I try to debug a LPC2148 in the IAR.
When I try to start a debug session with Ctrl. + D, I get the following error message from J-Link:

If I follow the instructions from the error message and disconnect/reconnect the J-Link and try to restart the debug session, I get this error message:

    I have:
IAR Embedded Workbench V4.30A using J-LinkARM DLL V.2.60c
    SEGGER J-Link V6

    Any ideas what's going wrong?

  • Hello Kevin,

The problem is that the J-Link DLL shipped with the IAR EWARM version 4.30A
or earlier is over 2 years old. This old DLL does not support J-Links with hardware
    revision 6.

You can solve the problem by downloading and installing a new version of the
    J-Link ARM Software.

The current J-Link Software is always available for download from our website:

Short feedback if this solves the problem would be appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Tobias
