  • Windows 8.1 update wants to install July 2014 Segger driver?

Windows 8.1 machine with the Segger JLink_V612a of 2Dec2016 software installed.
I just ran Windows update, and it wanted to install an ancient JLink driver from July 2014 (I declined).
    What's going on?
    Thanks!
    Best Regards, Dave
  • Hi David,

The J-Link software & documentation pack already comes with the lasted J-Link USB-driver.
Therefore I do not know why Windows update wanted the update / install another J-Link driver.
However, it is correct that Windows update does distribute the J-Link USB driver (but not the software) and that the latest USB-driver is indeed from 2014 (there is rarely a reason to update the driver itself).

    Best regards,
    Niklas
