  • Segger JLink IAR Debugging problem. Stack pointer stuck at 0xFFFFFFFF during debug

I am trying to debug a nrf51822 chip using IAR EW. I got the error : "Warning : Stack pointer is setup to incorrect alignment. Stack addr = 0xFFFFFFFF." I have a SEGGER JLink Edu on which I upgraded to the latest firmware (6.13a) using JLinkConfigurator. I also got the latest SEGGER software and documentation pack : 6.13a and I ran the JLinkDLLUpdater from 6.13a. I am looking for suggestions on what might be the problem. I cannot get my head around it ?( . It is worth mentioning probably that I also erase all the chip(using nrfGoStudio) before I try to upload the code and debug it from IAR.

  • Hi,

Can you please create and upload a J-Link log file of the IAR EWARM session?
How to enable a J-Link log file in IAR EWARM?: wiki.segger.com/J-Link_DLL#Enable_J-Link_Log_File

    Best regards
    Erik
