[SOLVED] J-Link Portable hangs during firmware dowload PC->Flasher

  • [SOLVED] J-Link Portable hangs during firmware dowload PC->Flasher

    I have following problem.
    In newest software 6.10 i cant download firmware to J-Link. It hangs in "Downloading PCodes...". I have try another way using MSD but In saving .dat file it also hangs. It works fine with smaller hex files 100kB. Do You have any clue or solution for this problem.

    When i merge two hex files Softdevice and application everything works fine but when i try to merge it with Bootloader it hangs again. Maybe it happens because not uniform memory. Softdevice and application are in short range of memory while bootloader is at the end of flash... When i merged Bootloader with softedevice it hangs again during saving to Flasher.

    could you please provide additional information about your setup?
    S/N of your Flasher?
    Could you provide step by step instructions and example .hex so that we can try to reproduce the issue?

  • Setup:
    Flasher Portable 651101177
    Device : Nordic Semiconductor NRF52832
    Interface SWD

    In attachement:
    b52.hex and s132.. hex both must be merged
    sd_bl.hex already merged by me. Hangs during download...
    NRF52832.jflash my j-flash project file.

    Instruction:
    Load project settings using j-link project file
    Load sd_bl.hex
    File->Download Config & data file to flasher
    Files

    thanks again for providing the reproduction files.
    We found and fixed the issue. We will release a fixed version of the J-Link software & documentation pack later today.
