  • [ABANDONED] CRC Verification between J-Flash and J-Link

    Hi,

i have bought now a Flasher PRO Programming adapter and the J-Link SDK.

Actually i only can process J-Link
Batch-Files (binary firmware and JLink Commander Script-File) for
programming the firmware, because J-Flash-App dont work at time.

Is there a security relevant (for example CRC verification) difference
between J-Flash and J-Link Commander? I use in the Script-File loadbin and
verifybin. Can i configure the same CRC verification level in the J-Link Commander
as J-Flash? Or is there a critical technical difference why not to use J-Link Commander? Actually with J-Link Commander it is the only way i can work with in production.

    Best Regards,

    Arne
  • Hi Arne,

since the last time you asked, nothing has changed about the difference between J-Flash and J-Link Commander:

    [SOLVED] J-Link Commander in production
    J-Flash
    • Allows a (much) higher level of customization
    • Is designed for production purposes
    • Is optimized for production grade flash programming (double verification etc.)
    • J-Flash projects can be used for standalone flash programming with SEGGER Flasher products
    J-Link Commander
    • Is designed for development purposes
    • The flash programming logic by default is configured for debugging which is highly optimized for speed flash
programming and not for production grade flash programming

Or did I misunderstand your question?

Actually i only can process J-Link
Batch-Files (binary firmware and JLink Commander Script-File) for
programming the firmware, because J-Flash-App dont work at time.

Could you provide us with with more information about your trouble with J-Flash?
J-Flash can be used with batchfiles.

However, I would strongly recommend to get in touch with our Mail support segger.com/support/technical-support/ since you recently bought a product and definitely are in a support period.
