[SOLVED] target connection problem with Jlink Pro in DS-5 (5.23.1)

  • [SOLVED] target connection problem with Jlink Pro in DS-5 (5.23.1)

I'm working on a new board with Xilinx xc7z020. Working enviroment is Jlink PRO and ARM DS-5(V5.23.1).The first step is to connect to the target. When connected from Jlink configuration command line, it is Ok .But in DS-5, afte replaced the Dll and setup the ds-5 debug configuration following the instructions in Jlink manual and ds-5 user's guide, the jlink Pro can't be connected althoug jlink pro can be selected from the hardware list in DS-5(detected automatically). Can you give any suggestion to override this problem??
    best regards

  • Hi,

we will take a look at it.
The latest tested DS-5 version is DS-5 5.22 x86/x64, maybe ARM changed the RDDI API again.

    Best regards,
    Niklas

  • Hi,

it is mandatory to add the device name to the connection string (e.g. JLinkUSB:174200001:Device STM32F103ZG) in order to use DS-5 with J-Link.
I just tested DS-5 2.31 x64 and it works fine.

    Best regards,
    Niklas
