  • Flasher ARM: Ram check failed at address

    Hi,

Recently we sent a Flasher ARM unit to a factory, and they are unable to get it to flash the image we provided them. Initially there was an issue where they were not applying power to the ARM core (assuming the debugger would provide power) but after we got that fixed, we ran into this issue:

Does anyone know how I could start troubleshooting this? I can use the exact same configuration on my laptop using a J-Link Plus without any problems.

    Any insight is appreciated,

    Thanks
  • Hi,

We are not aware of this behavior. We have many customers using this setup successfully. According to the error message, the flash is not allowed to write to the RAM. Do they use custom hardware or an evaluation board? If custom hardware, can you please ask them to give it a try using an evaluation board in order to exclude hardware related problems? Furthermore, please ask them to start J-Link Commander with the following command line:
    JLink.exe -device MKL15Z128xxx4 -speed 4000

    Now typ in:
    mem 0x1FFFF000 10
    w4 0x1FFFF000 0x00112233 0x44556677 0x8899AABB 0xCCDDEEFF
    mem 0x1FFFF000 10

Please upload a screenshot of the entire output.
