Hi, Could you clarify which isolator you are currently using? Does the same behavior occur when using another target board? Could you measure the voltage of the J-Link's 5V-pin when power off perm is used? Do you get the same Voltage reading there? Could you provide us with your J-Link EDU's serial number for reference? In which context did you use the J-Link EDU? Is it for private or educational use? Could you elaborate? Best regards, Fabian

Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. Could you please send us a J-Link log file? How to enable: wiki.segger.com/J-Link_DLL#Enable_J-Link_Log_File Could you also send us a screenshot of the full J-Link commander output? Could you also tell us, what chip exactly you are trying to download to? Best regards, Fabian

Hello, Keep in mind, that this is not a support forum, so answers might be delayed. If you are still in the support period, you can also open a ticked in our support system. Please refer to my signature for more information. We are working on the security detection issue right now. In the meantime a work-around could be to not set the security bit until then. Could you send us a reproducer for the security bit problem (ideally a .hex file)? I understand, that the issue with the flash download is…

Hi Andy, Could you please answer the following questions?: 1) Does this replacing firmware error also appear when you are using J-Link Commander (jlink.exe)? 2) Could you send us a picture of the whole Commander output? 3) Is the J-Link connected to the PC directly, or via an USB-Hub? 4) Could you send us a picture of your debug setup? Best regards, Fabian Federschmidt

Hello Min-Ching, Thank you for you r inquiry. The watchdog is not paused by our software. You have to implement the feeding/pausing of the watchdog yourself as part of the poll function. You can find further information about this topic in the J-Link manual UM08001_JLink.pdf in chapter 10 "Monitor Mode Debugging". This user manual is part of the J-Link Software and Documentation Pack. Best regards, Fabian

Hi, Thank you for your Inquiry. Unfortunately, there is currently no such command-line option. We will put it on our requested features list, but cannot say when it will be implemented. If you require this feature short term, you can also buy and use our J-Link SDK. A part of the SDK is the source code for the J-Link Commander (jlink.exe). It can be modified with an API function to always select a certain ID Code, when the verification window would be called by our DLL. Best regards, Fabian

Hi, Thank you for your Inquiry. If you do not want to setup a J-Flash project, you can also use the J-Link Commander together with a J-Link Command file. You can find information about this in the user manual "UM08001_JLink.pdf" p. 63 (3.2.3 Using J-Link Command Files) or in our Wiki: wiki.segger.com/J-Link_Commander EDIT: I just noticed, that you are using J-Flash lite. J-Flash lite is a tool which is not supposed to be used for automated processes, since it is made to be used together with our…

Hello Jérémy, The option byte area cannot be written directly via flash programming. But you can write the corresponding registers via exit steps (or init steps). The corresponding registers can be found in the document you linked above on pages 131 ff. Does this solve the problem? Best regards, Fabian

Hello, this should not be the case. When the voltage should be 0, when "power off perm" was called. It should not even reach close to 0.9V. Does this also happen, when no board is connected to the J-Link and you measure the voltage of the J-Link Pin? Best regards, Fabian
