  • Hello, ok thank you for clarifying. Currently only UTF-8 chinese symbols are supported. There are no plans to add other language standards right now. Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Could you provide a short clip which shows what you are doing with step by step instructions how the recreate the behaviour? We need to be able to recreate the issues you are seeing reliably, otherwise there is not much we can do here. Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Please note that Embedded Studio V3.34 is out of support and maintenance for many years now and the V5.xx releases are very different. A general migration guide from V4 to V5 can be found here: wiki.segger.com/Migrating_proj…_Embedded_Studio_V4_to_V5 For V3 to V5 even more additional steps might be required. But as the difference between V3 and V5 is so large we recommend to create a new project with V5 and add the additional sources manually to your project as…

  • Hello Ken, Thank you for your inquiry. We are not aware of such tool that would be available. While we see the appeal of having a sensor and function output visualized in 3D space, such tool would only be useful to a very small fraction of our customer base so currently there are no plans to create such tool. Should you be interested in creating such software yourself the J-Link SDK could be used: segger.com/products/debug-prob…nk/technology/j-link-sdk/ It is the same SDK that was used to create…

  • Hello Lee, unfortunately the project does not open due to missing Nordic SDK projects. See error message attached. Could you provide a reproduction project without external dependencies? Best regards, Nino

  • Closed due to being a duplicate of this: IDEA: Need 3D graphic debug tool for Segger IDE Please do not open multiple threads with the same content and topic across multiple topics, so it is easier for other forum users to follow discussions. We will keep the thread in the General subforum for now as it is not apparent if it is ES related at all. Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Quote from FunDeckHermit: “It was said that the bug would have been fixed in the upcoming release. ” Could you elaborate where this was said? I could find no reference to this neither in the Forum nor our support system. In my last post I asked for a reproducer. Could you provide one? Without it we can't investigate this request further. So could you answer the following questions? How are you adding the svd file to your project exactly? Could you share your .jdebug file that you try to r…

  • Hello, Could you provide a screenshot of the errors you are getting? How did you include your library? Is it a source library or do you only have the compiled .a file? If the latter you need to set it in project options as "Additional Input Files". A guide on how you can add third party sources to your basic Embedded Studio project is explained here with the example of adding FreeRTOS Sources: wiki.segger.com/How_to_create_…ject_with_Embedded_Studio But the principle is always the same, no matte…

  • Hello Lee, The latest version is V5.60. Could you try that one? segger.com/downloads/embedded-studio/ For reproduction we would need your complete project folder. From your description it sounds like this would happen to any project. So the default Hello World project would be sufficient. We just need the project and step by step instructions on how the reproduce the behaviour you are seeing. Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The reported behaviour is reproducible. We will investigate further. It is generally intended behaviour that SystemView can be used while e.g. another debug session is running. Best regards, Nino

  • Hello Lee, Thank you for your inquiry. Such an issue is not known to us. Everything you edit and save should stay that way after closing Embedded Studio and then reloading the project. Which version of Embedded Studio are you using? Do you see the same behaviour with the latest version? If yes, could you provide a small and simple example project for reproduction + reproduction steps? Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. From the problem description it sounds like the keystrokes are for some reason not reaching Embedded Studio. So they are most likely either blocked/rerouted by the host OS or keyboard driver. Please understand that that is software that we do not have any control about. We recommend to follow the keyboard troubleshooting for your host OS e.g. which keyboard layout is used, are any custom drivers used etc? Because there must be some difference to the laptop you …

  • Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Embedded Studio comes with the standard gcc assembler. If you enable assembler listing in project options it will be alled with the following listing option: -aln="Listing_Filepath" If you require a different type of listing you can set them in project option "Additional Assembler Options". gcc assembler documentation can be found here: ftp.gnu.org/old-gnu/Manuals/gas-2.9.1/html_chapter/as_2.html So if you use the same assembler options like Atmel Studio you sh…

Hello, The snapshot file could unfortunately not be unzipped. Both 7zip and WinRar claim that the archives are damaged. Could you upload the file with some other means? Alternatively could you open a ticket via our webform and attach the file there with reference to this forum thread? segger.com/ticket/ Best regards, Nino

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. From the looks of it you seem to be running some kind of RTOS. Is that assumption correct? If yes, which one? Did you make sure that RTOS awareness is enabled for your RTOS in your Ozone project? Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Thank you for your report. The issue is reproducible and will be fixed in future. Best regards, Nino

  • Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Could you provide the serial number of your J-Link? Are you using a custom board or eval board? Did you create the project from scratch or did you use some project generator? Should you be using the nRF52-DK Board you can use our embOS blinky sample that should run out of the box: segger.com/downloads/embos/emb…texM_EmbeddedStudio_Trial Simply download the embOS Trial and unzip it. You can find the project under Start\BoardSupport\NordicSemi\nRF52832_nRF52_DK D…

  • Hi Mark, Thank you for your inquiry. Are you really using position independent code here, or are these RAMCode routines that are copied during startup? If the latter the information where the code is in IRAM1 should be in the elf file. Could you provide the elf file you are using for this for reference? Best regards, Nino
