Hi Niklas, Any further news on this? Regards

Hello, Why does jlink report back that the LPC812 has a M0 core rather than a M0+ core? When the instruction Trace window is selected why do I get a message saying that the target does not have an ETB/MTB when clearly the LPC812 does have a MTB. Kind Regards

Hello, I'm using jlink debugger with a LPC812 cortex M0+ and I've added a function to setup the internal MTB. After stepping through a few lines of code I can see the ram section were the MTB has stored trace information but my question is; can this data be viewed in the trace window? or isn't it supported yet? Kind regards

Hello, I've just tried MTB tracing with j-link using the latest version of Keil MDK 5 with LPCXpresso LPC812 and it worked fine. Kind regards.

Hello Alex, Thanks for the update. By the way I spoke to IAR yesterday and this is what they said; IAR Quote: "According to our development team, MTB is not supported when using J-Link. That support is on our TODO-list. Unfortunately, we have no information on any planned release date for that feature. An I-jet and/or a CMSIS-DAP debug probe are the only options available for MTB at the moment. " So this answers my question regarding IAR EWARM compatibility. From what you say sounds like Keil ar…

Hello, Has anyone actually managed to correctly set up and read trace information from the M0+ MTB using j-link pro/ultra+ etc.? Keil MDK supports it with Ulink and IAR supports it with I-Jet but I am at a loss when it comes to using j-link. I seem to have tried everything without success. Is it the responsibility of the IDE to support this or is it down to the j-link itself? does anyone have a definitive answer and is this forum the correct place to get answers for these questions or should I d…

Thanks Alex. If it is work in progress then I will wait for IAR to introduce support for it. Any idea when they might make an announcement? or are you still at the negotiation stage? Best regards

Hello, Has anyone managed to write a IAR C-SPY macro to successfully capture MTB data when using a JLINK Ultra from within the C-SPY Debugger? The IAR I-Jet just works straight out of the box when capturing trace data from the MTB and it's using exactly the same SWD interface as the JLINK. Any help/clues much appreciated.

JLink Control Panel V4.74 - Settings and Target Power Tabs showing black background in check box
PostHello, When I invoke the JLink Control Panel when debugging using IAR EW on my Windows XP SP3 machine I get annoying blacked out areas around various check boxes which masks out the text. Is anyone else seeing this? Regards

Hi Alex, Yes the Keil MDK is more user friendly in terms of setting up a ram buffer for MTB compared to IAR EW. I suspect that the .icf linker config file needs setting up correctly but IAR does not give any examples of doing this when debugging, so I went back to the Keil IDE and tried setting up a MTB trace during debug but for some reason I could not get any trace info on the screen when using the jlink. Any guidance on what I might be doing wrong when using the jlink would be much appreciate…
