Hi I am trying to use J-Scope (V5.10d) with an .elf file generated using IAR EWARM V8.32.4, it is actually an .out file. When using the New Project Wizard, after selecting the .elf file, the program crashes. Does J-Scope support the elf format generated by IAR EWARM? Thanks, Gawie

Hi Nino Thanks for your prompt response. Am I correct that the J-Trace has a 64 MB on-board trace buffer? If so, can one get IAR EWARM to work with that? The first J-Traces, without streaming trace, made use of a on-board buffer and it work quite well with EWARM. I know that I won't be using the great streaming capability, but at least I will be able to do some tracing with EWARM and my new J-Trace ;-). Thanks, Gawie

I am new to Ozone and am busy checking it out with my brand new J-Trace for Cortex-M - yeah!!! Worked through your tutorial and got every thing setup - all is well and looks great. My question: Is it possible to load and debug more than one .elf (.out from IAR) at a time? Our system consists of more than one block of code and it can be compiled and loaded separately. I just want to find out if IAR EWARM 8.32.2 supports streaming trace with J-Trace Pro for Contex-M, as I am having difficulty to set it up.

Hi Alex No, there was no firmware upgrade after I installed V4.20g. There was a fw upgarde early Sept (last month), but it worked fine afterwards. I suspect that something went bad on the USB side as it does not even try to enumerate once connected - maybe some hardware fault . But it is very funny - it was lying on my desk (unconnected) for about a week and when I connect it again, gone is the USB enumeration. Any other suggestions or should I send it back for a replacement? Regards, Gawie

Hi I used my J-Trace about a week ago and all was fine. Today, I re-connected my J-Trace and now it does not even try to enumerate. Only the Power led is on. I tried different USB cables, other PC's - nothing! My J-Link is still working fine. Could it be something to do with v4.20g that I installed? This was the first time that I connected my J-Trace to my PC after I installed v4.20g of the J-Link driver. But now it do not even want to try to enumerate on any PC, regardless of the J-Link driver.…

Hi I am experiencing a JTrace CM3 related error when using EWARM 5.41 (latest) on Windows XP and Windows 7. I can download my code to my hardware, I can single step and debug. However, as soon as I end my debug session (red cross), an error occurs. This causes EWARM to exit and I need to restart EWARM to continue. My problem started when I upgraded to the latest J-Link drivers (V4.10f). My previous version (V4.08l) worked just fine. I can see that the J-Trace FW have been upgraded to a Dec 1 200…
