Please note this is NOT for hacking/cracking. What I really need is a device that will let me read the flash/nvram of different phones (I couldn't care less about writing); and in my searches I've seen a ton of UFS/JAF type cables that are already pinned to work with a ton of different phones. I'm not a hardware engineer (I'm software).
I'm investigating a specific avenue of research (basically just reading of the flash/NVRAM from different phones) --- I noticed a bunch of "unlocking" boxes use a standard RJ45 or RJ48 cable to connect to a phone. Is their a standard JTAG <-> RJ45/RJ48 conversion type adaptor? That would eliminate the need to reverse engineer the jtag connections that are on the phones.
Or should I be looking some other direction to be able to just read the flash, NVRAM, etc on phones?
