  • J-Link RDI: Using multiple J-Links simultaneously - Problems

Description: After update from package J-Link V3.72a to V4.20n I can't store diffrent RDI configurations
    to use multiple J-Links simultaneously.
Application: Two parallel ARM-Microcontrollers of the same type, working together
Debugger: IAR Embedded Workbench IDE Version 5.4.0.
SEGGER-Tools: J-Link ARM DLL, J-Link RDI DLL, J-Flash ARM (version see upon)
    Environment: Two folders - <Folder1> and <Folder2> - with JLinkARM.dll, JLIinkRDI.dll and JLinkRDI.ini
(to strore different settings -> USB0 and USB1 for Microcontroller 1 and 2)

Previous Version: J-Link ARM DLL V3.72a, J-Link RDI DLL V3.72a
IAR Embedded Workbench IDE (version see upon)
    - Project\Options\Debugger=RDI-Driver and Manufacturer RDI Driver = <Folder1>\JLinkRDI.dll respective <Folder2>\JLinkRDI.dll
    - Menu\RDI\Configure\Location of config file (adjusted automatically) is: <Folder1>\JLinkRDI.ini respective <Folder2>\JLinkRDI.ini
    - O.k.

Current Version: J-Link ARM DLL V4.20n, J-Link RDI DLL V4.08a
IAR Embedded Workbench IDE (without change - version see upon)
    - Project\Options\Debugger=RDI-Driver and Manufacturer RDI Driver = <Folder1>\JLinkRDI.dll respective <Folder2>\JLinkRDI.dll
    - Menu\RDI\Configure\Location of config file (adjusted automatically) is: C:\..\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 5.0\common\bin\IarIdePM.ini
    - Problem: With the new JLinkRDI.Dll the Configuration-File is not in the folder of the RDI-Driver but always fixed the folder of the IAR Workbench.
Result: Different RDI configurations overwrite the (one and only) Configuration file.
