  • [SOLVED]SAM-ICE, Jflash, AT91SAM7 issue (Unable to halt core)

I am having issues with the Segger SAM-ICE JTAG Emulator. I have a system with an AT91SAM7SE512 and when I try to connect to the device I get a response saying that Jflash is unable to halt the ARM core.

When I open up J-Link Commander, it verifies the processor ID correctly, I set the jtag speed to 8000kHz (speed 8000) and when I send the command 'rx 0' the program tries to reset and halt the processor, but it is unable to. I read in this forum that the processor may not have a clock or the processor is stuck in a wait state. How can I verify the processor is not in a wait state? The code that is on the device runs great, but I am trying to reprogram and eventually debug with this unit. I have tried other speeds, but have not found any which work.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

    Thanks for the help!
