  • [ABANDONED] Attach GDBServer+J-Link+Opto-isolator to a running system

I have been reading through the documentation and I cannot find out if it is possible.

    Scenario:
Intermittent hard-faults on LPC1769 processor, a number of units but only one J-Link Pro.

    Preferred Solution:
When a unit has an issue, be able to plug the opto-board of the J-Link Pro onto it and connect to the processor (GDBServer) in a running state to be able to examine the stack, variables, etc etc.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers
    Douglas
  • Hello Douglas,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Which J-Link are you planing to use for your setup exactly? What is its serial number?
Which Isolator are you using currently? A list with offers from SEGGER can be found here: segger.com/products/debug-prob…ories/isolators/overview/

Connecting and attaching to a session generally works with Isolators in between as well.

    Best regards,
    Nino
