  • [SOLVED] J-Link firmware weirdism

    We have 2 J-links one is a labeled an Ultra(serial num starting with 2) and the other is labeled an Ultra+(serial num starting with 5). Both were bought at the same time. The Ultra+ refuses to upgrade its firmware. The config program claims it to be up to date. Please tell me what is happening here.

    Thank you for your inquiry.
    The two J-Links you acquired are two different hardware revisions.
    In this case the Ultra is newer than the Ultra+.
    The Ultra+ 1.0 is out of maintenance and that is why it does not receive FW updates.
    Why do you think you need a FW update? Is something not working right?
    How did you buy the J-Links? Directly in our shop or with a distributor?
