  • [SOLVED] JLinkExe fails to connect to CC3220SF

    I tried to connect a SEGGER J-Link to a CC3220SF.
    • Hardware: SEGGER J-Link Edu Mini
    • Software: SEGGER J-Link Commander V6.30d (Compiled Feb 16 2018 13:32:00) DLL version V6.30d, compiled Feb 16 2018 13:31:50

Both SWD and JTAG prompt the error message "Cannot connect to target." then "Selected interface (1) is not supported by connected debug probe."

SOP pins are configured according to Table 7. SOP[2:0] of SimpleLinkTM CC3220 Wi-Fi® LaunchPadTM Development Kit Hardware SWRU463
    • For SWD, SOP = 001 Functional mode and 2-wire JTAG
    • For JTAG, SOP = 000 Functional mode and 4-wire JTAG

The board has been configured previously in development mode.

    Thank you for your help.
  • Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
The CC3220 device family is currently not supported by J-Link. Listings on our webpage are incorrect and will be removed.
According to TI they were able to establish connection to the CC3220 device with the CC3200 JLinkScript.
But this could not be reproduced on our side yet with the CC3220 Launchpad.
For more information please get into contact with TI.

    Best regards,
    Nino
