  • J-Link server in Tunneling mode " ... allows the engineers from Europe to remotely connect to the J-Link in India without having the hardware on their desk. .. "

    Segger's marketing material here:

    segger.com/products/debug-prob…remote-server/#tab-3425-1

    states that :

" The tunneling mode allows the engineers from Europe to remotely connect to the J-Link in India without having the hardware on their desk."

Could you provide the details of the setup under which this was tested, and is known to have worked?
    Including:

    - network setup details,
    - the response time and trip round time to/from Segger server to/from India's server or location
    - any firewall setup used for this
    - any limitations

We would like to setup this working for us, in a very similar distance wise situation.

    Thanks in advance
  • Hello,

Could you provide the details of the setup under which this was tested, and is known to have worked?
    Including:

Unfortunately this information cannot be disclosed to the public as they are part of the IP of our customers.
We can assure you that with a proper setup the feature is usable and is currently being used by multiple customers worldwide without any issues.
So far you were the only customer contacting us about timeout problems with that feature.

We would like to setup this working for us, in a very similar distance wise situation.

As mentioned in the other thread the issue is most likely not related to the distance but to your company's network setup.
You said yourself that you could not reproduce the issue at home but only in the company network.
So the issue is not related to SEGGER hardware or software but exclusively to your setup.

Please refrain from reopening redundant threads to the same topic otherwise we will be forced to remove you from the forum.
This will be the only warning in that regard.

    Best regards,
    Nino
