  • [SOLVED] J-Link VCOM Voltage Levels

    Hello,
the J-Link provides a serial port (VCOM) on pins 5 and 17 of the JTAG connector.
Which voltages does this port have ?
I didn't find this information in the J-Link manual.
Does it use RS232 levels (+12 and -3V) or TTL compatible levels (0 and 3.3/5V) which can be connected directly to the controller ?
    Thanks for help,
    Martin Cibulski
  • Hello Martin,

    Thank you for your inquiry.
All J-Link Pin voltage levels will adjust to the VTref voltage level (Pin 1).
    Maximum is 5 V.
So whatever voltage you apply to Pin 1 will be applied as the high state for the JTAG pins. Low level is always ground.

    Best regards,
    Nino
